Michael started his musical journey more than 20 years ago. He has performed with world class drum and bugle corps, Grammy-nominated artists, the Las Vegas Philharmonic Orchestra, the Boston Pops, and opened for professional sporting events. Michael has also taught scholastic concert bands, marching bands, and drum corps. Michael’s students have gone on to perform at the Rose Bowl, win DCI world championships, and become music educators themselves. 

 

In addition to working with piano, ukulele, and guitar/bass students, Michael’s specialty is working with wind players and percussionists. Drawing on his years of experience working with concert and marching bands, as well as his own lifelong dream of being a prog metal drummer, Michael emphasizes technique and practical skills that his students can put into the styles of music they love most.
